Black Christian Charities and Initiatives UK: Top 3
Black History Month is a time to celebrate the contributions that Black people have made to society. God has made all of us uniquely different and October is particularly dedicated to celebrating Black people.
Genesis 1:27 says: “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Acts 10:34-35 says: “God does not show favouritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.”
Revelation 7:9 reads: “There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
All three of these scriptures make it known that God has made us all different, but that we should embrace and celebrate this. That includes welcoming cultures from all different types of backgrounds and supporting the work they are doing.
