"But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing  up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgement will be revealed" (2:5)

This is perhaps the hardest part of Romans to read. It's a bit like going to see the doctor! Paul seeks to bring us to accept the true diagnosis of our condition in the sight of God. God is holy and needs to remove our sin and selfishness in order to repair his relationship with humanity. God loves us so much that he wants us to escape judgement, condemnation and the impact of our sin.
